Satellite TV Installation Technician

Job Description

for our Dish Network offices (Baton Rouge, LA, Covington, LA, Houma, LA, Kenner, LA,
and Gulfport, MS)

Essential Job Duties:
  1. Maintain accurate inventory and equipment for installations, service calls or trouble tickets
  2. Determine the best position of our equipment for strongest signal reception
  3. Place mounts, satellite dishes and receivers while ensuring broadband connectivity
  4. Review order with the customer and teach them the basics to use and enjoy their new service and equipment
  5. Offer customers additional services and products while earning incentives
  6. Ensure the completed order meets the customer’s needs
  7. Additional responsibilities as per management direction
Skills:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic computer skills; basic electronics and/or audio/video knowledge is helpful
  • Strong customer service skills; friendly, approachable and motivated with a strong work ethic and high degree of integrity
  • Organizational and Time Management skills
  • Must have strong sales skills
  • Building & Construction/Mechanical/Field Customer Service/Electrical Systems and Electronics/Telecommunications/Satellite TV Products and Equipment background preferred
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required; college or technical/vocational school a plus
  • Must have clean, valid driver’s license (not an identification card, and license cannot be suspended)
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must be able to pass a background check, drug screen test and MVR check
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules including weekends, holidays, and evenings
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time on a ladder, lift over 70lbs at times, crawl into small spaces, work in all weather climates, and remain within the individual weight requirement of 250 lbs
  • Must be able to maintain professional appearance (no visible tattoos, long hair, dreadlocks, beards, or body piercings)
  • Must be able to follow dress code for technicians

Accountant

Job Description

Provides financial reporting information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data for Integrated Electronic Technologies

Job Duties:
  • Review and reconcile general ledger accounts
  • Bank reconciliation and review
  • Timesheet processing and administration
  • Accounts receivable and accounts payable processing
  • Prepares required reports for management as needed
  • Organize and files all invoices and checks to properly maintain an orderly and accurate filing system
  • Additional responsibilities as per management direction
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum of Associate Degree in Business Administration and/or Accounting/Finance, Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of  two years experience in a similar position
  • Knowledge of Standard Financial and Accounting practices and procedures
  • Must be able to operate Microsoft office products including Access
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that may include nights and weekends as needed
  • Must be able to pass a background and drug test
  • Must have good analytical,  communication, deadline oriented reporting, general math, and time management skills

Job Description

Primarily focused on front line customer contact. Perform variety of duties pertaining to Cable Television, High speed Internet and Digital Phone Installation in customer’s homes, from tap to the television set. In addition to handling changes of service, additional outlet installation, disconnection of service, payment collection and any special requests customers may have in regard to installation. Basic troubleshooting from the tap to the customer premises equipment may be performed.

Job Duties:
  • Generate additional company revenue through effective sales techniques and by offering information about product options, sales campaigns, and promotions
  • Makes customer drop installations (exterior and interior) complete from tap to antenna terminals on customer’s equipment in both single and multiple unit dwellings, including pre-wired units
  • Performs new connects, reconnects, requested and non-pay disconnects; adds outlet; installs and/or removes converts; performs upgrades and downgrades of service
  • Analyzes picture quality and judges acceptability of picture delivered following installation of cable service
  • Manipulates connectors, fasteners , and wires
  • Uses customary CATV hand and power tools in performance
  • Completes appropriate paperwork functions as prescribed by system management
  • Reads signal levels through use of field strength meter; adds and subtracts levels in installation problems; installs connectors on different types of drop cable; maintains proper clearances; installs tap-off devices
  • Lifts and carries loads up to 75lbs (including line ladder); Works within limited confines, such as crawl spaces
  • Properly uses, stores and maintains a VOM or DMM to check for open or short on line as well as AC and DC voltages
  • Reads general drop system layouts from blueprints
  • Inform customers of FCC Rules and Company policies as they pertain to customers
Skills:
